When my dad passed in 2013, I found great comfort in bringing art to retirement homes and facilities. Somehow teaching art to legally blind seniors, watching how they adapt to painting in their conditions, and seeing their determination and lit-up faces gave me a way to move forward. If you feel compelled to assist in bringing the art lessons to the senior homes and senior's specialty facilities, we will graciously accept your donations.
Elise is legally blind. At first, she kept asking, “What color is this?” touching it with her fingers (pretty soon, she memorized the color and its # in the case). She measured the length of the paper by feeling it with her fingers; her art piece is impressive, and her spirit inspires me.
